


Saturday August 16 Astronomy Talk
Enjoy a family-friendly astronomy talk by one of our knowledgeable volunteers followed by viewing through a variety of small outside telescopes (weather permitting). Talk begins at 9:00pm. Note: a separate Dome Tour ticket is required for viewing through our 30” telescope.

Description: The year is 1054 C.E., the place: Chaco Canyon. The Puebloan people of the southwest were obsessed with astronomy, using the stars to guide their lives from the construction of their buildings to the timing of their religious festivals.
