Enjoy a family-friendly astronomy talk by one of our knowledgeable volunteers followed by viewing through a variety of small outside telescopes (weather permitting). Talk begins at 9:00pm. Note: a separate Dome Tour ticket is required for viewing through our 30” telescope.

Title: The Summer Triangle
Description: Explore the Summer Triangle and the three key stars that guide us through the summer night sky. Get to know interesting facts about those stars: Altair, Deneb and Vega. You’ll also become aware of the important constellations associated with those stars: Aquila, Cygnus, and Vega. In addition, a few cultural stories will be shared.  By the end of the evening you’ll learn to point out these essential stars, and entertain your friends and relatives with your astronomy knowledge.
